Comfort Keepers appoints Ramzi Abdine as company’s new Chief Executive Officer

Ramzi Abdine to Continue to Expand Comfort Keepers’ Growth and Leadership Position in the Home Care Industry 

IRVINE, California, January 23, 2023 – Comfort Keepers®, a market-leading provider of uplifting home care for seniors and adults who need assistance, appoints Ramzi Abdine as Chief Executive Officer, North America, replacing Carl McManus. Abdine brings more than 25 years of relevant professional experience and proven successes to help deliver on the company’s innovation goals and continue to expand its leadership footprint in the home care industry. Effective immediately, he is replacing Carl McManus who has been instrumental in leading Comfort Keepers through a significant period of revitalization and growth for nearly a decade. The announcement comes at a time where Comfort Keepers is celebrating 25 years of Elevating the Human Spirit™ by providing quality in-home care to help seniors thrive, connect and live a purposeful life.

Since joining Comfort Keepers in 2014, Carl has been the force behind several large acquisitions, significant organic growth, the company’s digitization initiative, and the introduction of several brand-differentiating technological innovations. In his role as CEO which he assumed in 2017, he was responsible for driving revenue in 600-plus franchised and company-owned locations across the United States and Canada, setting strategic direction, fostering innovation, and moving the brand into the future.

Abdine brings tremendous business experience through his leadership role in Sodexo Worldwide Home Care, where he served as Global Head of Corporate Development & Asset Management and was the interim CEO of Pronep, Sodexo’s Home Care business in Brazil. Abdine launched his career at Credit Suisse First Boston’s in New York City, and since that time, he has worked across multiple industries including defense, aerospace, space, and cybersecurity.
