For 2 Decades This Local Pennsylvania In-Home Care Provider has Defined the Goals of Family Style Care and Support to its Clients.
KING OF PRUSSIA, PENNSYLVANIA, April 6, 2018 — Comfort Keepers, an in-home care service provider, is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The company was originally founded in 1998 when Kris Clum, a registered nurse who was working in home health care, discovered first-hand the need for in-home caregivers. She realized that some people require help other than their basic medical needs, such as help with groceries or bathing.
Clum knew she could provide a solution and created Comfort Keepers.
Comfort Keepers provides non-medical, in-home care services to thousands of individuals across more than 700 franchised offices worldwide. The Comfort Keepers franchise network comprises many caring individuals who are committed to providing care solutions that enable seniors and disabled adults to live happily, safely, and independently at home. Comfort Keepers of King of Prussia is no different.
Comfort Keepers of King of Prussia, PA, is a family run franchise. Clark Bongaardt and his wife, Sallie, own and operate the location. After being caregivers for both Clark’s mother and father in law, he and Sallie saw a significant need for quality in-home care for seniors and opened their Comfort Keepers’ office in Springfield, PA in 2002. A few years after that, they expanded and opened a sister office in King of Prussia.
The Bongaardt’s commitment to quality has been recognized by the Comfort Keepers’ Corporate Office nine years in a row with the President’s Club Award. In furtherance of their commitment to quality, Sallie and Clark were proud recipients of the first Operational Excellence Award awarded by the corporate office in Dayton, Ohio to recognize their commitment to ensuring quality throughout their organization.
And following in their footsteps of excellence, Clark and Sallie’s son Ian Bongaardt has been working at their Comfort Keepers location since 2005.
Comfort Keepers provides a wide range of in-home care solutions including, but not limited to, Alzheimer’s and dementia care, respite care, transportation for seniors, interactive caregiving, end of life care, and transitioning home care.
“We are so happy to be celebrating the company’s 20th year,” says Sallie Bongaardt. “For us this is more than just a job, it’s a calling. And Comfort Keepers has helped define the care and love of a family for two decades.”
