April 6, 2018– On April 21st, Michele Berman and Marc Reisman, owners of Comfort Keepers Philadelphia, plan to say thank you to their caregivers by holding the annual Caregiver Appreciation Day event at the Philadelphia Phillies game. This game will be played against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Caregiver Appreciation Day festivities will begin long before the game begins, however. Caregivers can expect a tailgate full of free food, fun activities for children, reimbursed parking, reserved seating and a free t-shirt.
This is the 2nd year in a row that Caregiver Appreciation Day is being held, and franchise owners have no plans on stopping the tradition due to how well-received it has been. Last year, over 250 Comfort Keepers attended the event with two of Comfort Keepers’ in-home caregivers assisting in the first pitch ceremony.
Michele Berman and Marc Reisman have provided senior caregiving services in Jenkintown and Philadelphia since 2000. “Most people don’t understand exactly what it takes to be a caregiver,” says Berman. “A lot of times, caregivers’ work goes unnoticed or underappreciated. After evaluating the relationships that we’ve been able to build with our caregivers over the last 18 years and everything that they have done for us, we didn’t even hesitate to consider giving back to our team.”
